Last but not least, Microsoft has already announced that Teams will be replacing SFB and when sunset occurs, it isn't clear. It offers a variety of plan options at attractive prices, though making sense of that spider web proves difficult (see here). It seamlessly integrates with Outlook from where you can create Skype meetings and populate your contact list. Any business using the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly small businesses, should take a look at SFB. It serves as a lightweight collaboration tool. It’s an important distinction to make since SFB should not be viewed as a phone replacement or VOIP Service. Please note this is a separate product from Skype for consumers. When I try to create an online meeting I get 'The Outlook and Skype for Business (Lync) user accounts do. This is with both Skype and Outlook open. Calendar status does not automatically update in Skype for Business for Mac.

I am using Skype for Business for Mac 16.7.175 with Outlook 2016 for Mac 15.34 (170515). For Skype for Business Online, this feature requires Microsoft PSTN Conferencing, Exchange Unified Messaging, or a 3rd party audio conferencing provider. This also won't work for Skype for Business Web App on Max OSX. Skype for Business on Mac, Lync for Mac 2011 and Communicator for Mac 2011 users can't control desktops shared by Windows users.
